A story begins the minute a mating of Blizzard's Huntmore bloodstock is planned.  From conception to birth to socialization to placement to the first step into the game fields, verses turn into chapters in a new and different Book of Bird Dog.  The Jacobs family tries to savor every single line while the puppies are at home.  But the day comes when a match is made with hopefully the right hunting home...and just like that, the check cord and whistle, pen or keyboard is turned over to others.

Each placement is made in the hope that New Owners can appreciate what's behind each and every litter of Blizzard's Huntmore Llewellins.  "Blood, sweat, and tears" is a cliche, but in this case it captures generations of living and hunting with these grand dogs.  From briar torn setter and hunter flesh, to countless hours hiking rugged Appalachian coverts, to tears of celebration and sorrow, ruffed grouse hunting over Llewellins bred and raised at home has made for very rich sport, for a blessed life, first at Pippa Passes, now near London, Kentucky.

Every puppy leaves with a prayer for excellent care, patience, and thoughtful rearing.  With a prayer for deep companionship with a hunting family that can't imagine its upland hunting without a class bird dog.  With a prayer for opportunity for that young dog to put decades of commitment and passion into play every time it's whistled into the cover.  

There are stories to be written, original ones steeped in tales from Bull to Toby to Bleu to Parker, Laurel, Bella, and Mia.  The Jacobs family is eager to read each and every one.
